The undeniably blissful Friday feeling is what keeps us going throughout the week. That Friday feeling just got a whole lot better for anyone who jumped on the bandwagon and booked a Friday Night Break at The Ross.

With an early check-in of 11am on the cards, this means that you’ve got a whole day to explore Killarney before getting yourself ready for a night on the town.

Stepping outside the hotel doors, a hundred different options await you. The jaunting car (horse and cart) base is located across the road from the hotel. There are plenty of bike hire facilities for those who want to explore the park on two wheels or you could take a jog or stroll through the network of trails and lakeside footpaths.

If retail is more your thing, Killarney is filled with interesting locally-owned shops, boutiques, and small cafes and coffee shops to hide in, with a good book.

Exploring a little further will take you to new heights as you wind your way up the mountainside to Ladies View, a remarkably scenic viewpoint named after Queen Victoria’s Ladies in Waiting, who were so taken by its beauty, on their visit to Killarney in 1861. You’d simply have to include a stop off at Torc Waterfall and Muckross House and Gardens along the way.

Kick off the evening with your Ross Gin & Chocolate Tasting experience, which is included in this Friday Night Break. Our Mixologists will share some cool knowledge and fun facts about our local Gin producers and their wares.

After you’ve become Gin and Chocolate aficionados, hit The Lane for the ultimate chillaxed night of fun food and awesome cocktails. Included in this package is a 3-course dinner in The Lane with a cocktail or mocktail to add to the experience.

Nothing picks you up, the morning after the night before, like a full wholesome breakfast. You’ll be faced with choices between a good old traditional Full Irish, or decadently fluffy American Style Pancakes. Lighter options of homemade Granola and Fresh Fruits might take your fancy too or indulge in the Eggs Benedict to get your day off to a great start.
